Dyslexia in Children An Essential Guide for Parents eBook Wells Emery
I have a child that just turned 1, so I've been trying to read up on different developmental issues for children. I've heard a lot about dyslexia, but never really understood it. This book goes into detail on the process the brain goes through when reading, and shows how someone with dyslexia would differ in that process. It also explains that there are different types of dyslexia, which is something I had never heard. It was a really eye-opening book. My child is not yet at the age when the symptoms of dyslexia would surface, but now I'll definitely know what to look for when the time comes. The information in this book is laid out really clearly, and it was very easy to follow.

Dyslexia in Children An Essential Guide for Parents eBook Wells Emery Reviews
I bought this book for my friend, who recently found out her that her niece is dyslexic. She loved it and is less worried and stressed since she has a much better understanding of what it is and the theories behind the cause. I would recommend this book to others who want to know more about dyslexia.
This was the first publication that I've come across that broke down the various types of Dyslexia in children plus talked specifically about children who suffer from both Dyslexia and ADHD. I plan to read her book on ADHD in Children next. This book was informative without being overwhelming.
I bought this book for my cousin, who has a dyslexic child. He loved it and is less worried and stressed out now. This book gave him a nice piece of mind and offered some tips and methods to cope with his dyslexic child. Judging from his response, I would recommend this book to others who want to know deal with dyslexia in their child.
This book goes over the different types of dyslexia that children may have. I have researched this area for the past couple of years and read almost everything available on the Internet. This book by far is the best because it goes over the types of dyslexia in detail. The suggestions on how to help your child are realistic. I agree with one of the other readers. I also wished I had read this earlier.
I purchased this book for reference to write about dyslexia. There is a decent explanation of the different ways dyslexia manifests in children but not enough information about what strategies work to help counter the disorder. While it is encouraging to read that many people have managed to thrive and succeed, it would be far more helpful to have more description and practical steps to try. A good starting point for those needing the basics, however.
This really is a comprehensive guide to identifying and treating dyslexia when it comes to our children. The book goes into the various types of dyslexia and how they can be treated. I found this book to be thoroughly informative on a topic I thought I knew rather well, but it turns out the subject is much deeper than I could have imagined. A recommended read for all parents...
Very good book about dyslexia (it also covers other learning disabilities). This disability tends to cause a stigma in kids, since very often they are considered lazy, retarded or unmotivated, when in fact they are none of those. It's very important for parents to understand it and know how to face it, in order to help their children as soon as possible.
Very well written. The author definitely knows her subject. This book is essential if you suspect your child might have some learning disability.
